A marketing expert and writer with a clear vision for the social sector, Mike has worked on public, charity and regeneration projects for almost a decade, first as a client, then at a commercial agency with a social sector focus.
At L&Q Group, London’s leading housing association, he developed an understanding of social sector communications first hand. He delivered several award-winning projects and was part of the team that set up ‘Residents Online’, a London-wide internet and training programme, which ‘bridges the digital divide’ to make e-learning available to housing association tenants.
At Synergy, he played a key role in developing the company’s web strategy and service offering, while delivering work for high profile clients, including The Electoral Commission, The Royal Society, Guide Dogs for the Blind, the London Borough of Camden, Guinness Trust Group and the Social Exclusion Unit, before departing to co-found Public Life in 2004.
Mike grew up in Zimbabwe and has a Bachelor of Journalism degree and an MA in English from Rhodes University, South Africa.
