To change the text size, click the ‘+’ or ‘-’ buttons at top right of the Public Life website screen. If you are reading this after clicking one of these buttons, it means your browser either doesn’t support JavaScript, needed to make them work, or you have JavaScript turned off. Try one of the methods below.
Please note that the controls within this site will only affect this site; to set your browser up permanently so that you see text bigger across all websites, you must change your browser settings.
Most browsers support the keyboard shortcuts Control/+ or Control/- to adjust text size. If you have a mouse with a central wheel, holding the Control key while rolling this wheel usually scales text. For control via browser menus:
If you find it difficult to use the mouse, you can use access keys to navigate the site. To move between pages, simply hold down the Alt key (Windows) or the Control key (Mac) and hit the appropriate access key, shown below.
If you have difficulty using a mouse, you can navigate this site using keyboard shortcuts.
Hit the ‘space bar’ to jump down the page or alternately use the ‘up’ and ‘down’ arrows to scroll.
See the list of access keys for keyboard shortcuts for the navigation.
The site is designed so that the Tab key can be used to jump through links and form inputs on the page in a logical order.
To view PDF documents you need to have the Acrobat reader on your machine, which can be downloaded from the Adobe site.
