Livability
Design. Strategy. User research. Website

Public Life’s new website for Livability reflects the rapidly changing care market, the move towards personally managed budgets and as a result the need to sell directly to the public as well as the traditional commissioning audience.
The new site addresses the needs of disabled people and their families, assisting them in finding support that meets their needs whilst at the same time providing a rich and engaging overview of the spectrum of services.
“Finding the right support can be a headache for people. From care homes to colleges, we run a wide range of services for disabled people – the challenge was presenting them in the right way.” – Samee Mohammed
At the heart of the new website is a ‘service finder’ tool. It gives visitors an easy, user-friendly and local route into Livability’s directory of services, supplemented by an interactive ‘support chooser’ to help people choose the right support for their needs.
The website is designed with accessibility in mind. The use of images and video help to create an online environment which resonates with services users and their families, and the simple, ‘chunky’ user interface provides great opportunities for content exploration for all audiences with the 14 font throughout proving that big can be beautiful!
