
Public Life has redesigned Kent County Council’s main website, having undertaken audience research and a stakeholder engagement exercise.
The new website design is modern and user-friendly and conveys they key strengths of the county, including heritage, tourism and a vibrant business sector.
We undertook a consultation process with senior politicians, business stakeholders and members of the public and established the following key aims: to position Kent as a leading e-services council, encourage local business opportunities, engage local communities and promote the area as a great place to live.
To test the new branding, we developed a specially designed flash-based questionnaire, presented at the Kent County Show, which allowed us to collect usability data and brand perceptions from over 150 local citizens.
Response to the branding was overwhelmingly positive and information captured concerning content structure and user needs has been extremely useful for the web team and senior stakeholders.
